Announcment for IMPS Clinical Training for Medical Physicists in Iraq




he Middle East Federation of Organization of Medical Physics (MEFOMP) is pleased to announce the recently finalized a collaboration between Iraqi Medical Physics Society (IMPS) and Al-Warith Cancer Institution to organize the Clinical Residency Program for Medical Physicists Specializing in Radiation Oncology. The aim of IMPS is to further enhance knowledge of medical physicists in Iraq. This program was proposed to be inline the International Atomic Energy Agency Residency Program.
 
The program collaboration was initiated in August 2021; and the deal was finalized and signed in September 2022. The program comprises of theoretical and clinical parts and will admit four postgraduate medical physics candidates who will be screened prior to being accepted to the course.
