MEFOMP Executive Officers has recently met together with Dr. John Damilakis, President of the International Organization of Medical Physics (IOMP), on 24 July 2022, in Doha, Qatar, with virtual participation of some MEFOMP officers.
The main agenda of the meeting was focused on strengthening coordination and cooperation between MEFOMP and IOMP to advance medical physics profession in the region. The cooperation with other regional federations was also discussed through planned educational collaborations, and research projects. The upcoming MEFOMP 2023 Medical Conference was also discussed.
The meeting also stressed the importance of more active participation with IOMP committees as per the recent nominations by MEFOMP for members in the different IOMP Committees, this was supported and encouraged by the IOMP President.
