A group of Saudi Medical Physicists formed an establishing committee in order to start a MP society.
After tremendous work and effort, this committee started by organizing the First Conference of Medical Physics held in King Fahed Hospital City in 2006 and the second conference was in the Military Hospital in 2007. The birth of the Saudi Medical Physics Society was in 2008. And lately, the committee organized the Third Medical Physics Conference in Saad Specialist Hospital in 2009.
During that meeting, there was a new elections for the officers and the society was officially inaugurated.
SAMPS has more than 150 members.
