The International Scientific Exchange Program (ISEP) of the American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM) in collaboration with the International Organization of Medical Physics (IOMP) recently conducted the 2019 AAPM / ISEP Workshop on 21 to 24 April 2019. The workshop was hosted by the King Abdullah University Hospital (KAUH) in Jordan at Kempinski Hotel, Amman, Jordan.
The program was designed for radiation oncologists, medical physicists, medical dosimetrists, radiation therapy tech-nologists, radiobiologists, radiation protection specialists, nuclear medicine physicians, nuclear medicine radiog-raphers, radiologists, diagnostic imaging radiographers, students, as well as researchers who are involved in the practice of Radiation Oncology and Oncologic Imaging.
Over the four-day CME workshop, a review of the advances in Therapeutic and Diagnostic Physics was accom-plished. The sessions covered a variety of topics on Quality and Safety in Radiotherapy, Image-Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT), Clinical Brachytherapy, Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT) and Diagnostic Imaging. Around 100 delegates took part in the success of the workshop.
