Middle East Federation of Organization of Medical Physics (MEFOMP) ExCOM organized the 1st webinar for the occasion of International Day of Medical Physics (IDMP) as proposed by Mr. Refaat AlMazrou, Chairperson of Training and Education Committee of MEFOMP who also responsibly prepared the technical support systems required for the webinar.
The webinar was under the title of “Medical Physicists as Health Professional” which is the theme of International Organization of Medical Physics (IOMP) for International Day of Medical Physics (IDMP) 2020. It started with a presentation from Dr. Huda Al Naemi, President of MEFOMP about statistics of medical physicists in the MEFOMP countries highlighting the figures from different countries about the local societies and number of members. It is included that such statistics need to be updated from various countries.
Following Dr. Huda’s presentation, the webinar continued with a presentation from Dr. Henry Fielding’s, international speaker having vast experience as medical physicists in the field of Nuclear Medicine. Dr. Henry shared his experience about the statistics about Medical Physicists in different countries around the world highlighting to what level the medical physicists is recognized in the countries that he knows by experience.
