The Iraqi Medical Physics Society (IMPS) and in cooperation with Amir al-Momineen Specialty Hospital (peace be upon him), organized a scientific symposium entitled: Overview of SPECT/CT and PET/CT Modalities.
The symposium was delivered by one of the members of the IMPS Najaf branch, MSc. Iman Muslim Kadhum, on 28 January 2023 at Amir al Momineen Specialty Hospital (peace be upon him), Najaf Governorate. It was attended by IMPS President: Assist. Prof Dr. Mustafa Salih Al-Musawi, the Head of the Nuclear Medicine Department: Dr. Haider Al-Alawi, the representative of the IMPS in the Najaf Branch: Prof. Dr. Hussein Abd Ali Baqer and many members of the IMPS and medical physicists working in the Department of Nuclear Medicine.
As part of this event, hospital departments were visited, and attendees learned about the latest devices used in nuclear medicine. The visit established frameworks for future cooperation between the Society and the hospital.
