MEFOMP Celebrate 125th anniversary of X-rays Discovery

MEFOMP celebrated 125^th anniversary of the discovery by Wilhelm Röntgen of X-rays in 1895. Above is one of the most famous images in photographic history.
 
 

The image of his wife Bertha’s hand (wedding ring clearly visible) propelled Rontgen into an international celebrity. The medical implications were immediately realized. Rontgen named the discovery X-radiation or X-rays, after the mathematical term “X” which denotes something unknown. MEFOMP is celebrating this event inline with all international organizations around the world.
