As every year Middle East Federation of Organization of Medical Physics (MEFOMP) countries celebrate International Day of Medical Physics (IDMP) on 7th November along with the other countries in the world with their respective celebrations.
The date 7th November reminds all of us of the birthday of Madam Curie, who is considered as mother of science of Medical Physics. It is well known that she is the first physicists who has linked the physics science to serve the medicine by using the first generation of x-ray machine in diagnostic radiology specially during the days of First World War.
MEFOMP countries are preparing to launch the first webinar for the celebration where all physicists from different countries are invited to join. The webinar will be under the title” Medical Physics as a Health Professional “. Dr. Henry Fielding’s is the invited international guest speaker with vast knowledge in Medical Physics including GCC. The webinar will come under the theme of this year’s celebration.
By the end of the webinar all are invited to join the IOMP webinar organized particularly for this event and chaired by Dr. Madan Rehani, President of International Organization of Medical Physics (IOMP).
