Dr. Nabaa Naji, was awarded MEFOMP Outreach and Engagement Award 2022, during the International day of Medical Physics (IDMP) 2022 celebration. The award is given to a medical physicist from the region to recognize especially significant outreach achievements that increased public understanding of medical physics profession.
Dr. Naji started her work in this field in 1996, and graduated with M.Sc. in 2002 and a Ph.D. in 2007. Currently she is working as a lecturer in medical physics in Mustansiria Medical College. She has published many papers and participated in many events and trainings. In 2010, she was nominated to represent the Iraqi Medical Physicists in the AAPM Annual meeting. She is the Past President of Iraqi Medical Physics Society (IMPS)and helped IMPS to be member of MEFOMP and IMOP.
