As part of the International Day of Medical Physics (IDMP 2021) celebration , Qatar Medical Physics Society (QaMPS) has awarded Dr. Antar Aly, the Scientific Publication Award 2021 in recognition and appreciation of his best and most relevant peer-reviewed, scientific work that have been published in the prior calendar year.
The Scientific Publication Award is a recent addition to the annual awards and recognitions given by the QaMPS and all members are eligible to get nominated for this award.
Furthermore ,the Qatar Medical Physics Society has chosen Dr. Ioannis Tsalafoutas as the Physicist of the Year 2021 for his outstanding contributions to Medical Physics in Qatar for the previous year. The award was given to Dr. Ioannis during the EFOMP-QaMPS collaborative celebration of the International Day of Medical Physics 2021, held in Doha, Qatar on 07 November 2021.
The Physicist of the Year Award is one of the annual awards and recognitions given to any member of QaMPS selected for the year, to encourage all members to continuously strive for excellence and to uphold the practice of physics in the region and elsewhere.
